Bechler Pottery

We have carried Benzonia based artists Bechler Pottery for years and continue to be delighted by the unique creations husband and wife team Cory and Stacey come up with. Inspired by nature and the beauty of Northern Michigan, Corey and Stacey collaborate to bring their ideas to fruition after inspiring walks through the Sleeping Bear National Park and the beaches along Lake Michigan. The Bechler’s enjoy the process of making their clay creations; rolling the clay, forming and painting it. They hand build each of their clay creations with creativity and skill. Each piece is sculpted, fired, and covered with glass infused glazes to become a unique clay form. Corey is the potter and creates the birds, fish, flowers, mugs (and so much more) that you often see in our gallery. Corey also enjoys the assembly process of the art pieces. Stacey is the painter and enjoys apply color to the pottery and creating their one-of-a kind hand drawn tiles.
