We all take a lot of vacation photos, then we forget about them or rarely view them a second time. I broke that habit after staying at Two Fish Stay this summer in the quaint little town of Leland. Michael and Jennifer’s apartment has the warmth and friendliness you don't often get when it is not your house, yet you feel the good vibes as soon you go up the stairs. The big surprise is the wall of windows that overlooks Lake Michigan. Yes! I took a hundred pictures of glorious sunsets! Then another hundred on breezy summer nights, sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and watching the sun rapidly change colors from yellow to orange. However, for me the best part was the kitchen. It is bright and sunny and yellow, and also faces a wall of windows. I am a cook and I appreciated the well stocked cabinets and the numerous amenities that Michael and Jennifer thought to make available. I visited Farmers' Markets, bought eggs roadside straight from the coop and fished on Lake Michigan for lake trout. The kitchen was a cook's delight! I promise you...I do look back at my vacation photos now, and you will too.
